Stanton-on-the-Wolds Parish Council has the following published policies:
|Code of Conduct||In accordance with section 27 of the Localism Act 2011, the parish council has adopted a Code of Conduct to promote and maintain high standards of behaviour by its members (and co-opted members) whenever they conduct the business of the council.
This Code of Conduct is based on the principles of selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.
|Standing Orders||Under the 1972 Local Government Act, parish councils have the power to organise their own affairs. If they do so, then they must document how they wish to organise parish council business, especially how meetings are to be run in order to ensure orderly and balanced debate. This document is known as Standing Orders|
|Handling Complaints||A complaint is an expression of dissatisfaction by one or more members of the public about the parish council’s action or lack of action or about the standard of a service. Stanton-on-the-Wolds Parish Council has formulated a written code of practice to be followed when handling complaints.|
|ICO Registration||Under the Data Protection Act 1998, every organisation that processes personal information has to register with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), unless they are exempt.
As a public authority, Stanton-on-the-Wolds Parish Council has registered with the ICO as a "Data Controller".
