It just takes time ... but we haven't given up
The parish council has once again taken up the matter with Royal Mail complaining about the eyesore rusty mail-holding box on Stanton Lane, asking for it to be removed. It was on June 9, 2016 that the first request for its removal was made. Since then Royal Mail have asked at separate times for a photograph of the box.
The box was used by Royal Mail to put letters in for the postman working in the village when his load was too bulky when setting out on a bicycle from Keyworth Post Office. He would collected the remaining letters from the box when his original load had been taken out to addresses in the village.
This is the offending mail box.
